Tasks and responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement complex projects within data centre networks, network security, and associated systems.
- Take technical ownership of advanced network infrastructure, including software-defined networking (SDN) solutions and load balancing systems.
- Drive automation initiatives within the network landscape, leveraging tools such as Ansible and Git.
- Develop comprehensive concepts and maintain thorough system documentation, including operational guides.
- Provide expert 3rd-level support, diagnose intricate system failures, and participate in a regular on-call rotation, approximately every 6 to 8 weeks.

Must-have criteria
- A university degree in computer science, network engineering, or an equivalent qualification, coupled with several years of experience in enterprise or service provider network environments.
- Demonstrable practical experience with software-defined networking (SDN) solutions and extensive knowledge of designing, configuring, and operating contemporary data centre networks.
- A proactive approach to continuous learning and development in emerging network and security technologies.
- Proven ability to develop conceptual solutions, provide expert advice to internal stakeholders, and deliver pragmatic resolutions for complex technical challenges.
