Tasks and responsibilities
- Play a key role in building the strategic central client data platform for Global Products & Solutions (GPS).
- Help drive the architecture, design, and implementation of a highly scalable, resilient, and secure platform that supports global business operations.
- Perform on-call duty (Pikettdienst).

Must-have criteria
- Extensive experience in professional Java development, including core Java and enterprise application development.
- Strong expertise in concurrent and multithreaded programming.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, highly available, and mission-critical systems.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems and microservice-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including clean code, design patterns, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Experience translating business requirements and non-functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and modern enterprise application development.
- Technical expertise in event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka.
- Technical expertise in cloud-native development, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
- Technical expertise in microservices and distributed systems design.
- Technical expertise in Test-driven development (TDD), JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks.
- Technical expertise in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Technical expertise in Kubernetes and containerised deployments.
- Technical expertise in monitoring and observability tooling such as Grafana.
- Technical expertise in security fundamentals, authentication, authorisation, and secure software development practices.

Nice-to-have criteria
- Experience with solution and system architecture.
- Familiarity with React and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of Agile and SAFe delivery methodologies.
- Exposure to banking, wealth management, or financial services environments.
