Tasks and responsibilities
- Manage and operate digital platforms and specialised applications.
- Operate and enhance Linux and Docker-based platforms, including core services such as web servers, DNS, certificates, databases, mail configurations, and backups. Evaluate and integrate additional open-source applications.
- Provide technical operation, development, and support for various web and specialised applications, including managing updates, multisite environments, plugins, and SAML connections.
- Advance automated build, test, and deployment processes utilising Docker and GitHub Actions. Contribute to the evolution of platform architecture, with a focus on Kubernetes, centralised logging, monitoring, and system documentation.
- Enhance the security and operational stability of servers and applications through appropriate login, Single Sign-On (SSO), authorisation, patching, backup, and recovery solutions.
- Operate and develop server and virtualisation environments, including Windows and Linux servers, virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware, Citrix), and storage solutions (e.g., NAS).
- Manage Microsoft Azure resources and hybrid operating environments. Plan and coordinate patching, update, and security measures, utilising tools like Azure Arc and LAPS.

Must-have criteria
- Completed degree in Computer Science (BSc) with a specialisation in Software Engineering and DevOps experience, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least five years of professional experience with LAMP web servers, DNS, TLS certificates, load balancing, clustering, databases, and backup solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of Linux and Docker, with experience in automated deployments and CI/CD practices.
- Solid understanding of IT security, Single Sign-On (SSO), identity management, and access permissions.
- Profound expertise in Windows Server, virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware), or Microsoft Cloud Services (e.g., Azure, Entra, Intune, M365).

Nice-to-have criteria
- Experience with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Kubernetes, monitoring, or logging. Knowledge of Web Application Firewalls, Reverse Proxies, or Zero-Trust approaches.
