Tasks and responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives to modernise the web application security landscape.
  • Evaluate and implement a cloud-based Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) solution.
  • Replace the current on-premises Web Application Firewall (WAF) infrastructure.
  • Conduct a POC to assess the migration of the existing appliance-based WAF platform to a Kubernetes-based deployment model.
  • Coordinate stakeholders.
  • Support strategic decision-making regarding the future web application security platform.
  • Manage technology evaluations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and implementation projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Prepare management reports, decision papers, and steering committee materials.
  • Manage risk, issue, budget, and timeline.

Must-have criteria
  • Proven experience leading complex IT infrastructure, cloud, and/or cyber security projects in enterprise environments.
  • Strong project management expertise, including planning, execution, and delivery management.
  • Experience managing technology evaluations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and implementation projects.
  • Good understanding of web application security technologies, including Web Application Firewalls (WAF), API security, and cloud-based security solutions.
  • Familiarity with container platforms and Kubernetes-based architectures.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong vendor and service provider management experience.
  • Experience preparing management reports, decision papers, and steering committee materials.
  • Strong risk, issue, budget, and timeline management capabilities.
  • Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, IPMA Level C/B) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented working style.
  • Resilient and dependable, with a strong sense of responsibility and sustained focus under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment.
