Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Contribute and support to our client's development projects in the areas of infrastructure, tools and deployment management
  • Carry out engineering activities for the introduction of new tools and technologies along DevOps principles in the cloud or on-prem
  • Set up the operating and maintenance processes along DevOps principles. You support and operate the IT infrastructure and the applications either on-prem or in a cloud. You are not only familiar with the user side of tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Ansible or OpenShift, but also feel comfortable with Linux shell and in the administration of the tools
  • Advise and support your colleagues and customers regarding tool use and best practices. This typically covers the entire life cycle including deployments
  • Adapt our client's build and deployment processes to the project requirements and automate them
  • Promote constructive collaboration between business, IT departments and other stakeholders. You use your DevOps know-how to help customers with their innovations and the successful implementation of their DevOps programmes
  • Help develop the team with regard to content and personnel, expanding the know-how, offerings and training new employees
Required skills and experience:
  • Degree in the field of computer science
  • Experience in setting up, administering and operating lifecycle, build and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Experience in the conception and implementation of industry-standard scripts, tool chain for build automation and deployment
  • Experience in agile software development and/or IT operations. Scrum, SAFe and ITIL knowledge is an advantag
  • Ability to lead the intensive communication in customer projects in a motivated and professional manner
  • High level of commitment and flexibility as well as willingness to learn new things
