Tasks and responsibilities:
- Supporting the DevOps team in the development, implementation, and operation of our client's financial messaging infrastructure as an Application Integration Engineer
- Your field of activity covers the products IBM MQ / IBM MQ MFT, IBM Message Broker (IIB/ACE) and Nastel Autopilot/Navigator & X-Ray
- Your main responsibilities and activities would be:
- Ensuring stable platform operation, conducting Lifecycles, and writing and executing test concepts
- Collaborate with external/internal clients for the onboarding process
- Analysis of new customer-specific requirements and implementation of integration solutions
- Conception and further development of the platforms regarding automation (continuous delivery) and functional extensions
- Connection and integration of services using various interfaces such as MQ, SOAP, REST, JSON, SQL
- Configuration and optimization of monitoring and metrics
- Performing root cause analysis in case of production issues, as well as disaster recovery testing
- Willingness to participate in the team's rotating 7x24h on-call service
Must-have criteria:
- Degree in computer science or systems engineering from a university or technical college with correspondingly knowledge
- More than 5 years' practical experience of financial messaging and deep understanding of the newest IBM MQ products and their functionalities
- Sound knowledge of the relevant standards in the banking environment such as SWIFT MT/MX, ISO20020 etc.
- Knowledge of best practice for inter- application communication with IBM MQ, Oracle, SSH, SSL, TLS
- Knowledge of scripting languages (SQL, Bash/Shell, Perl, Java) and MQ commands
- Knowledge of Linux and Oracle
Nice-to-have criteria:
- German (or willingness to learn the language)
- IBM Certified System Administrator - MQ V9.1 (or to complete upon starting)
- IBM Certified Solution Developer - App Connect Enterprise V11 (nice to have)
- ITIL knowledge would be an advantage
